Decades of culinary experience, a love of coffees from different origins, and the final check on every review, comparison and buying guide before it goes live.

Experience

Juhi brings decades of culinary experience to CoffeeLabAdvisor. Time in the kitchen teaches a simple discipline: a recipe either works or it does not, and the proof is in the result, not the description. She edits the same way. A claim about a machine or a coffee stays on the page only if it traces to something checkable: a manufacturer’s published figure, a named tester’s finding, or a measurement.

Coffee is where that experience meets her favourite subject. Juhi loves coffees from different origins, and how a bean’s origin and processing shape what ends up in the cup is the part of coffee she follows most closely. Our guides to natural vs washed coffee, honey-process coffee, anaerobic coffee and Yemeni coffee are good places to start.

What Juhi checks before a page goes live

Every review, comparison, brand guide, grinder pairing and buying guide on this site carries her name as the approving editor. Approval means these checks were made:

  1. Specifications match the manufacturer. Sizes, weights, pressures and capacities are checked against the maker’s own published figures. Where makers disagree with themselves, the page says so instead of picking one.
  2. Every quotation can be found at its source. Quoted findings from reviewers and testers are checked word for word against the original page, and attributed to the person or publication that wrote them.
  3. Disclosures are on the page. If a reviewer’s test unit was supplied by the brand, the review says so. Affiliate links are labelled, and they never decide a verdict.
  4. Prices are real and current. A price appears only when it comes from a live listing for a new unit, with the time it was checked. When there is no such listing, no figure is shown.
  5. The dates tell the truth. Updated changes when the content changes, not when a page is re-saved.

How our reviews are made

Most CoffeeLabAdvisor reviews are syntheses: they weigh the published hands-on testing of specialist reviewers against the manufacturer’s specifications, and each one has a section saying exactly what it is based on. Where we have not tested or tasted something ourselves, the page says so. Juhi’s role is to make sure that what a page claims is supported by what it cites.
