📋 Machine Profiles · 2026Ninja's first fully automatic espresso machines on the maker's own specs: 10 one-touch drinks on the AE1001, 13 on the AE1051 Pro, and what we cannot say yet.

The AutoBarista is Ninja’s first fully automatic espresso machine, announced in May 2026 - a bean-to-cup machine with no portafilter and no tamping, where the Luxe Café line is semi-automatic and expects you to do both. There are three models. The AE1001 and the newer AE1002 offer 10 one-touch drinks; the AE1051 Pro offers 13. Ninja describes the rest of the system identically across all three: Grind iQ selecting automatically from 50 grind settings, beans ground to order for every cup, hot or iced microfoam from dairy or plant-based milk, and an auto-rinse cycle with a self-drying interior fan. The drink count is the stated difference, and it is the only one.

The automatic machine with 13 one-touch drinks - three more than the AE1001.

| Model | Model number | One-touch drinks |
|---|---|---|
| AutoBarista | AE1001 | 10 |
| AutoBarista | AE1002 | 10 |
| AutoBarista Pro | AE1051 | 13 |
Specifications as published on each listing, read 2026-10-02. Ninja does not publish a drink-by-drink list of which three programmes the Pro adds, so this page does not guess at them. The AE1002 is the newer of the two 10-drink listings.
This is the more useful question than AE1001 versus AE1051, because it decides whether you want this line at all.
A Luxe Café is semi-automatic. You grind into a portafilter, you tamp - by hand on the Premier, with a lever on the Pro - and you lock it into the group. The grinder has 25 settings you choose between. The machine assists, but the shot is yours.
An AutoBarista removes all of that. There is no portafilter to fill or tamp; Grind iQ picks from 50 settings itself; you press a drink and it arrives. That is the appeal and also the cost - the adjustments a Luxe Café gives you are the ones this line takes away.
This page carries no score and no verdict, and for a machine this new that gap is worth being explicit about rather than filling with adjectives.
When a machine in this line goes through a full evaluation it moves out of profiles and into a scored review. Until then this page is what the maker states, organised and dated.
Bean-to-cup machines we have evaluated - every card below carries a published score, which is the difference between these and the subject of this page.

Check price on Amazon →The number of one-touch drinks: Ninja states 10 on the AE1001 and AE1002, and 13 on the AE1051 Pro. The grinder, the milk system, the brewing description and the cleaning cycle are published identically across all three listings.
Yes. It is a bean-to-cup machine with no portafilter and no tamping - beans go in the hopper, you select a drink, and the machine grinds, doses, brews and froths. Ninja announced it in May 2026 as its first fully automatic espresso machine.
The Luxe Café line is semi-automatic: you tamp and lock a portafilter, and you choose between 25 grinder settings. The AutoBarista has no portafilter and selects from 50 grind settings automatically through Grind iQ.
Ninja states the milk system produces microfoam hot or iced from dairy or plant-based milk. We have not tested it, so that is the maker’s specification rather than a result we can confirm.
No. This is a documented profile, not an evaluation. The machine is new enough that no long-term reliability data exists for anyone, and we do not publish a score for a machine we have not assessed.
