Cuisinart's range sorts on three questions: a glass carafe on a warming plate or a thermal carafe, ground coffee or whole beans, and a pot or pods, or both. A Cuisinart cup is about 5 oz, so a 12-cup pot is about 60 oz. We have not reviewed these machines; every figure here is from Cuisinart's own instruction booklets or the machine's own listing, read on 30 October 2026.

Reading a Cuisinart listing

Some words in Cuisinart's listings are worth decoding before you buy. Here is what each one is, from Cuisinart's own booklets.

The listing says

PerfecTemp

DCC-3200, DCC-3400What it is

Cuisinart's name for hotter brewing. Neither its listings nor its booklets publish a temperature.

The listing says

14-cup

DCC-3200What it is

Cuisinart counts a cup as about 5 oz, so 14 cups is 70 fl oz, not fourteen mugs.

The listing says

Self-clean

Most modelsWhat it is

A decalcifying cycle you run with white vinegar and water when the CLEAN light comes on, not a cleaning tablet.

The listing says

Grind & Brew

DGB-400What it is

A blade grinder, per its listing. Cuisinart's burr models were only offered by other sellers when we checked.

The listing says

Compatible with any brand of single-cup pod

SS-21What it is

K-Cup-style pods. Nespresso-style capsules fit only the SS-4N1's capsule brewer.

Cleaning a Cuisinart coffee maker

Most of these machines light a CLEAN indicator when it is time to decalcify. Cuisinart's booklets use one-third white vinegar to two-thirds water: take out the charcoal water filter, fill the reservoir, then press and hold CLEAN until its light flashes. Repeat if the light comes back on, then run a reservoir of plain water. Change the charcoal filter every 60 days or 60 uses.

Our Cuisinart cleaning guide covers each family, including the single-serve models' own descale buttons.

Cuisinart's warranty

Every Cuisinart booklet we read gives a limited three-year warranty. The SS-21 Coffee Center booklet limits it to US buyers who purchase from Cuisinart or an authorized Cuisinart reseller, so keep the receipt and check who the seller is.
