What it is

A bean-to-cup machine with a built-in grinder and a Pannarello steam wand, from the Italian maker whose Classic Pro is the semi-automatic we hold a review of.

  • Bean-to-cup with a Pannarello steam wand — milk is frothed by hand, not automatically, which is unusual in this class and the reason it sits between a super-automatic and a semi-automatic.
  • Three selectable brew temperatures, stated on the listing as 177.5, 182.9 and 184.5 °F.
  • A 60 oz (1.8 L) water reservoir and an 8.8 oz bean hopper, both accessible from the top.
  • Espresso and espresso lungo volumes are programmable, so the machine repeats a dose you set once rather than asking you to stop the shot by eye.

Who it may suit

It may suit you if

  • a one-box counter — the grinder is built in
  • press-button consistency over pulling shots — a bean-to-cup machine grinds, doses and brews itself

It may not if

  • you want to pull shots by hand and control each variable yourself

Each line is derived from the specification by a published rule — not from testing.

What we have evaluated instead

We have not tested this machine. These are the nearest ones by price that we have — each with a full review behind it:

How this record is made

The Advisor keeps one record per thing it can identify and says which of four things is true of it: independently evaluated, specification verified, identified, or not yet evaluated. This record is specification verified — a dated reading of a published specification, with fit lines derived by rules that are written down and reviewed. It is not a review: we have not used, tested or scored this machine, and nothing here judges how it performs. Specifications carry their read date and are re-checked after a year.
